Background

I honed my expertise in communicating about employee ownership while serving as communications director for a mission-oriented company that became an ESOP during my time there. Working closely with the executive team and employee-led committee, we all learned together that to effectively develop a strong ownership culture, you need to be intentional and it requires a robust internal communications strategy. I now consult for that company and am growing my consulting work in the ESOP space. 

Over the years, I have attended conferences and got to know the ESOP community. I deeply believe that the ESOP model, along with other models of employee ownership, is a real way for workers to get a better deal.
